At Point Park she trained in a variety of disciplines and worked with renowned educators such as: Judith Leifer-Bentz, Jason McDole, Kiesha Lalama, Pearlann Porter, and Jesse Factor. Avery values ambition, kindness, exploration, and pushing boundaries in her creative processes and seeks to follow beautiful things that bring her joy. Her mission as an educator is to ground and inspire students in a deep love for dance that will carry them throughout their lives. She teaches goal-oriented classes with a technical approach that incorporate classical vocabulary and cross-training elements, along with a large emphasis on choreography and phrase work. Avery aims to encourage and mould her students' growth, as well as her own, in her career as a teacher, choreographer, and dancer.
